Lucas & Lisa Salzwedel's Story

Lucas and Lisa knew they wanted to purchase a home in a growing neighborhood that would become more popular and valuable as the years went by but they didn't know exactly where to look without the help of a local expert.

Why Scott Goshorn?

Scott came highly recommended to us through mutual friends and at that point, we didn't feel the need to interview other agents. That trust was already there due to him being in our friend's inner circle. We didn't know Scott personally at the time that we hired him but he seemed to check all of the boxes for us early on so we knew he was the right choice. Were there any stressful moments?

Before we closed on our home it had been empty for a few months. We ended up having an unfortunate situation where the home was broken into and thousands of dollars worth of damage was done. That was a pretty scary and stressful moment and we weren't sure if it was going to jeopardize the sale. 

Scott took action quickly to work with the seller and make sure the damage was scheduled to be fixed. He had it taken care of for us within 2-3 days. After it was all said and done, Scott gifted us with a security system as our closing gift which we thought was very thoughtful and really put our mind at ease. 

How Was Scott Different?

We were close to purchasing a different home in another neighborhood and Scott steered us toward our current home instead. Our home has gone up considerably more in value than the one we were considering buying. In fact, we purchased our home in June of 2016 for $525K and it is now valued at $1.1M! Scott was eager to help us negotiate and really crunch the numbers. He advised us to offer less than the listing price on our current home because he was certain it was a fair offer. We were apprehensive as we really wanted the home but sure enough, they settled for what we offered. Scott is really knowledgable about the market and pricing and we know we wouldn't be in the home we have now if it weren't for Scott's expertise and guidance.
